Brenden Morrissey

Brenden Morrissey is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology with Health Emphasis program at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology and classical studies from Brandeis University. Brenden’s research is focused on social support and adherence in organ transplant recipients. He is passionate about working with individuals managing chronic medical conditions and understanding intersections between mental and physical health. Brenden has also gained experience in his work with military veterans and is especially passionate about working with veterans and their families.
Clinically, Brenden has experience working with adolescents and adults presenting with a broad range of concerns including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, adjustment to chronic illness, panic attacks, schizophrenia, and chronic pain. His therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), emphasizing collaborative and values-driven goals tailored to meet individual needs and preferences. |
