Erzulie Coquillon, M.A., J.D.
Dr. Erzulie Coquillon is completing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Fordham University, and she earned a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the Boston College Lynch School of Education, a J.D. from Boston College Law School, and a bachelor’s degree in History from Harvard.
Previously, Dr. Coquillon worked as a lawyer, including as an Associate in the New York office of a large law firm, as a career advisor for students at Columbia Law School, and in non-profit organizations. This professional background enriches her perspective and makes her particularly well-suited to providing psychotherapy for law students and lawyers, given her understanding of the profession. Dr. Coquillon’s approach to psychotherapy is integrative, drawing on psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based interventions, attending to clients’ identities and socio-cultural contexts. As a clinician, she has worked with people experiencing depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and grief-related concerns, and she has trained in community clinics, university counseling centers, and an outpatient clinic focused on the treatment of anxiety and traumatic stress. Dr. Coquillon’s therapeutic style is warm, genuine, and collaborative; she strives to foster the deepening of insight and develop skills and practices for healing and growth.
