Jill Stadterman Guarecuco, Ph.D.
Dr. Jill Guarecuco is a clinical psychologist who provides both insight-oriented and skills-based psychotherapy. She is extensively trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness/meditation. Dr. Guarecuco is also interested in applying Buddhist philosophy to psychotherapy and incorporates that perspective when it matches the client's interest.
Dr. Guarecuco helps adolescents and adults struggling with a variety of concerns, including eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive and other anxiety disorders, and executive dysfunction. She also works with individuals looking to make sustainable lifestyle changes as a part of their weight management journey. She describes her therapeutic style as warm, authentic, and non-judgmental. Born and raised in New England, Dr. Guarecuco moved to New York City after high school to attend Barnard College. She completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Fordham University. Dr. Guarecuco is also a proud graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). She enjoys walking (especially as a form of commuting), playing fetch with her dog, and reading memoirs. Dr. Guarecuco also maintains a contemplative meditation practice, which has been one of her greatest teachers. |
